About the Journal
Focus and Scope
The Journal of Decision Support System (JDESS) is a scholarly journal focused on publishing theoretical and practical research related to the development, implementation, and use of decision support systems (DSS). The journal explores how information technology can be used to help individuals, groups, and organizations make more effective and efficient decisions.
The scope of JDESS is broad and covers various aspects of DSS. Here are some of the main areas of publication:
-
DSS Models and Methods: The journal accepts manuscripts discussing new algorithms, mathematical models, and computational techniques used in DSS. This includes, but is not limited to, artificial intelligence, optimization, data analysis, and machine learning.
-
DSS Applications: JDESS also publishes case studies and applied research demonstrating how DSS can be used in various domains, such as business, healthcare, environmental, and government. Emphasis is placed on how DSS solutions can solve real-world problems.
-
DSS Design and Implementation: This topic covers the technical aspects of designing DSS architectures, user interfaces (UI/UX), and system integration. Publications in this area often discuss implementation challenges and best practices.
-
DSS Evaluation and Impact: The journal also accepts research that evaluates the effectiveness and impact of DSS on the decision-making process, organizational performance, and competitive advantage. This includes analyzing the benefits and risks of DSS implementation.
-
Ethics and Human Aspects in DSS: JDESS is also interested in research that addresses the ethical, social, and cognitive issues related to DSS. This includes how human factors influence the adoption and use of systems, as well as the ethical implications of using AI in decision-making.
Overall, JDESS aims to be a leading forum for researchers, practitioners, and academics to exchange ideas and promote advancements in the field of decision support systems.

Manuscript without clarity
Authors who have received the results of the peer-review process from the editor but fail to respond or revise their manuscript within a period of more than six months are considered to have neglected the editorial process. This unresponsiveness is a significant waste of time and effort for our editors and reviewers.
Consequently, the manuscript will be archived, and the authors will be placed on the JDESS publication blacklist. The full name, email addresses of all authors, and their affiliations will be recorded.
JDESS reserves the right to reject all future manuscripts from authors on this list.
